The Elementals in the Green Craft

In my Book of Shadows and Grimoire, I say: "The Green Witch knows of the connection of all things, the immortality of life, and draws upon The Power of the Divine directly, or through the Elementals of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, or such spirits, devas, and Other People as may be helpful. The Elementals are the Kith and Kin of the Green Witch, for body and strength are of Earth, breath and thought are of Air, energy and drive are of Fire, and emotions and vital fluids are of Water." This means the Elementals are sentient, and are of great power. If you ask them for something, they will respond, so you need to be sure about what you want. You can even stipulate a price range if shopping for something, but I feel that once what has been requested is provided, you have to accept it--it would not be good manners to do otherwise. An attitude of mutual love and respect is fostered by appreciating the gifts bestowed. The Wind is a terrific representative of Elemental Air, carrying wishes and messages to the Divine, and activating charms hung on tree branches or over doorways, such as with a knotted string or ribbon, a small cotton bag containing spell materials, or wind chimes that disperse negative energies away from the home.
